Down in Bethlehem one quiet night

A virgin held the holy light

No crown, no riches, just a manger bed

The Savior born, just as they said

Shepherds came with wonder in their eyes

Angels sang across the skies

A baby King, so small and mild

God’s own Son, Heaven’s child

From a manger to a cross

From the cross to a grave

From the grave to glory

He rose to save

Every heart, every soul

Every chain undone

Jesus reigns on the throne

He walked the dusty Galilee roads

Healing hearts, carrying heavy loads

Fed the hungry, calmed the stormy seas

Spoke of grace and sweet mercy

But men plotted and nailed Him down

Thorns on His head, a thorny crown

Love bore the pain, took the blame

So we could call upon His name

From a manger to a cross

From the cross to a grave

From the grave to glory

He rose to save

Jesus reigns on the throne

Nails in His hands, blood on the wood

He could’ve called angels, but He stood

Took the weight of every sin

So we could live, and He could win

The stone was rolled, the tomb lay bare

Death lost its power, Heaven declared

At the break of dawn, the light shone through

The empty tomb, the world made new

He walked with friends, He spoke the truth

And left His Spirit to guide our youth

Now every heart that’s lost and worn

Can rise again, can be reborn

From a manger small, to a throne on high

Our Jesus reigns beyond the sky
