Yo I'm flipping through pages ancient with time

Habakkuk’s words hit like rhythm and rhyme

A prophets gaze piercing the stormy sky

Asking why the righteous suffer why the wicked thrive

He stood on the ramparts watching the scene

The world on fire caught in anguish unseen

How long must we cry how long will you wait

The answer is coming hold steady your faith

The earth will be filled with glory so bright

Justice like waters rolling into the night

Though the fig tree withers and the vines don't grow

I'll rejoice in my savior through the winds that blow

His words they echo through the years so strong

A melody of hope in a world gone wrong

The tablets are written make it plain on the run

A timeless truth for us each and everyone

Why oh why do the answers delay

The vision is written but the shadows stay

He's raising up nations to serve his will
