Used to run, never thought twice

Now I’m counting steps just to feel alright

They say “rest,” yeah I tried that

Still feel it when I lie flat

Same old face in the mirror stare

But something underneath ain’t there

Energy gone, can’t fake that

You say “you look fine” — I know

But you don’t see the undertow
