Grief with hope

as I watched him connect from this world to the next. 
I held on to that ache in my chest. 
We were always the ultimate team. 
Our lives were a testament of Gods dream. 
we always seemed to see each others reflection. 
I never would have dreamed it would have gone this direction. 
I know he's in a place right now with no pain. 
But If for just a moment I could hear him say my name.
Lord heal this emptiness in me and help me cope. 
Wrap your loving arms around me as I grieve with your hope. 
The loneliness creeps in and I feel the pain of his loss. 
I think of how God had felt when He saw his son on the cross.
I know one day I'll see him again and that brings joy in the sorrow. 
But if just for a second there was one more moment with him to borrow. 
I know Jesus holds him now and will never let him go. 
I just can't wait for the day when I see what he now knows. 
I know he's in a place right now  with no pain. 
But if for just a moment I could hear him say my name.
