The Climb Out

Fallen deep beneath the ground,

Echoes of my doubts resound.

But I hear that distant call,

A whisper telling me to crawl.

Started with a step too far, a mistake I can't ignore

Fell into a canyon deep, where shadows dwell and roar

Walls closing in around, my fears stacking high,

But something stirs within my soul, I won't let myself die

Or will I?

The dark might pull me under, but I know I hold the light

It’s a spark that burns brighter, fuels my fight through the night.

Digging myself out of this hole, piece by piece,

Climbing higher, chasing the sun, finding my peace

I’m on the run

From the depths I will ascend, wear my scars with pride

I won’t hide

This nightmare’s not forever, I’ll break through and victorious

Fingers scrape against cold, rough edges of despair,

Every fall is a lesson, standing up I swear I’ll make it out of here

There’s a strength inside me, buried deep within,

With every stumble, every tear, I learn to rise again

I will rise again
