They saw her every day, but never saw her whole

A shadow in the light, a story left untold

She gave her warmth in silence, held the world inside

Waiting on a promise, love that never tried

Her kindness was mistaken, used and thrown away

They took and took and left her, standing in the rain

She healed their wounds with gold and thread

But cried alone in her own bed

She bent like flowers in the storm

But even petals can be worn

One morning, she rose with fire in her eyes

No more pretending, no more disguise

She found her wings where they left a scar

And flew toward dreams they called too far

Now watch her soar, don’t ask her why

You had your chance to help her fly

Let this be the lesson you won’t forget—

Neglect a heart, and live with regret

She waited soft and still, they pulled and she complied

But quiet girls can break the chains and walk into the light

The same hands that held her down

Now reach, but she’s not around
