Rage

Darkness creeping in, it's a constant fight,

Inner battles roaring, lost in the night,

Demons holding tight, cant find my flight,

Searching for the dawn, seeking the light.

My brain and soul in a constant clash,

Nightmares dance, hopes crash and splash,

Can't sleep when the shadows flash,

Waiting for the world to see my stash.

Anger's rising, can't deny,

Feel it surge, I ask why,

Eyes telling truths I can't lie,

All these wounds, I can’t fly.

Burn a hole in this page, release the rage,

Finding my way out of this cage,

Lighting a match, sparking a rage,

Climbing from darkness, breaking the stage.

Weighted pain, carving my scar,

Searching for a star, near or far,

Set a spark, leave a mark,

Fight the shadows, ignite the spark.

Though the dark tries to consume,

Inside I bloom, find my room,

A spark in the gloom, assume,

My soul’s reborn, dispel the doom.
