Remember when we used to talk all night

Under stars that sang in soft moonlight

Faces lit by fire's glow so bright

Now screens replace the warmth so tight

We'd gather 'round the old oak tree

Sharing stories wild and free

No buzz no beep no LED

Just dreams we wove in unity

We used to laugh we used to feel

Every moment was so real

Now we swipe and scroll away

Missing out on yesterday

Kids played games in yards and parks

Chasing shadows till it got dark

Now they're lost in pixel sparks

Eyes glued to glowing charts

Letters wrote with trembling hand

Crossed the miles to distant lands

Now messages in shorthand

Lose the touch we once had planned

We used to laugh we used to feel
