Prompt / Lyrics
From desert sands, a humble shepherd rose, Called by a flame that burned yet did not cease, To lead his kin from bitter, cruelest woes, And break the bonds of Egypt's harsh police. With staff in hand, he faced the Pharaoh's might, And turned the Nile to blood, a fearsome sign, Through plagues he pressed, enduring endless fight, Until at last, the Hebrews did resign Their chains and fled, pursued by vengeful rage. He stretched his hand, the sea gave way to stride, Then crashing waves engulfed the hostile stage. On Sinai's peak, with God he did abide, And brought down laws, a covenant divine, A leader true, his legacy will shine.
