I will trust

Trust in the Lord with all your heart they say.

But If he's real why would he let me feel this way.

His eye is on the sparrow and I know he watches me.

But why do I doubt and feel so anxiously.

The pressures of life are whispering in my ear.

And the way home seems unclear.

When giving up seems like a must.

I will trust.

I will trust when it's not plain to see.

I will trust when I'm weeping on my knees.

I will trust when the mountain is stuck in my way.

I will trust when night seems to overtake the day.

Ive read the word and I know your promises are true.

These days, though, it's been hard to fix my eyes on you.

The pressures of this life are mounting up.

And I feel a heaviness in my cup.

You Said you would never leave me.

But why do I feel so empty.

When the world just seems unjust.

I will trust.
