Rescue mission

I knew of him but I didn’t know him.

My life was a mess and full of sin.

Then one day I got down on my knees and said lord I can’t do this anymore

I left my emptiness right there and opened my hearts door.

I was in a grave position but Jesus was

on a rescue mission

He rescued my soul from certain death

He rescued my soul, gave me new breath.

He rescued my soul and poured out his grace.

Now I’ll see him face to face.

Hallelujah! I’ll see him face to face!

Now I’m standing firm and tall.

There’s times I still stumble and fall

But his grace meets me where I am

And he gives me the strength to stand.

Every day I’m thankful for his pursuit of my heart.

His rescue mission gave me a brand new start.

He rescued my soul from certain death.

He rescued my soul, gave me new breath.

He rescued my soul and poured out his grace.

Now I’ll see his glorious face.
