Exodus 2

Dust in the air the sun's gone low

Pharaoh's heart is hard won't let us go

I hear the whispers fire in the night

A voice that says walk by faith not by sight

Chains on my wrists but my soul won't bow

Desert winds call freedom somehow

Plagues rain down the rivers run red

But we march to the promise where we'll be fed

Sandals wore thin but we keep the pace

A pillar of cloud shows the sacred space

Manna falls down from the heavens above

Every step’s a test but it's driven by love

Golden calves can't hold my soul

False idols crumble faith makes us whole

We wandered lost but we're not astray

The promise lives if we choose to obey

Let my people go faith is the key that'll open the door

Through the waters we row trust in the path we've never walked before

Let my people go the fire burns brighter when the storm will roar

Let my people know faith is the power the ultimate core

Step out the shadow into the light

Freedom won but it comes with a fight

Ten steps carved in stone so clear

A voice in the fire said draw near draw near

Chains are broken but the heart's still bound

Without a compass we all spin around

Mountains shook the heavens spoke

Laws to live by not just a joke

Man in the desert manna falls down

Freedom ain't just a golden crown

Dance around idols hearts astray

Forgot the voice that showed the way

The way a covenants weight it's heavy to bear

But it's justice love and truth laid bare

Clouds of fire the earth it quakes

Freedom bends if the soul forsakes

Tablets of wisdom rules to keep

Guide the path so the soul won't sleep

Freedom rings but it's never free

I walk through the sand where the sun don't blink

Feet on fire but my mind won't sink

Plagues in my chest doubt in my head

Every step forward feels like a backward thread

The night whispers loud but the stars stay mute

Searching for a sign like a lost recruit

Winds howl stories of battles untold

Freedom ain't free when the chains feel cold

The road is cracked but the whispers are clear

A burning bush speaks says don't you fear

Pharaohs in my mind try to keep me bound

But miracles rise where no logic is found

I've wrestled with shadows I've fought my doubt

Lost in the wilderness trying to map it out

Milk and honey’s a promise but the desert's my grind

Searching for the divine but the clock rewinds

I've seen water turn red I've seen rivers run dry

Heard thunder in the silence saw flames touch the sky

Every scar on my soul is a chapter to tell

But can I reach heaven when I've walked through hell

Part the seas let the waters divide

Show me the path take me to the other side

Manna from the sky I'm starving for hope

Lead me through the fire teach me how to cope
