Echoes of Yesterday

I see the shadow of a younger me,

Running wild where the fields were free.

Barefoot dreams and the laughter loud,

Two best friends, we stood so proud.

But the years, they stole the sound,

And I barely looked around.

The world kept spinning fast,

And I let the moments pass.

I miss the child I used to be,
