Haven't you heard there's always two sides

I am frayed, stained

But forever unchanged

I am a photograph

I am your memory

Keep me how you want me

Erase the image of my dreams

Leave me here in shame

Lifeless and colorless

Make me see

That what I need

Is beyond my reach

Make an image out of nothing

The nothing that is me

But be careful not to stain the edges

Take your time

In painting my mind

Erase the years, and recreate my life

I am frayed, stained

But forever unchanged

I am a photograph

I am your memory

Keep me how you want me

Does it hurt you to know I'm right

Does it make you cry to see me smile

Knowing your designs have failed

And I have come out looking beautiful

I am a masterpiece in my own right

You cannot make me feel stained

And you cannot erase this picture

Because I am more unique than that
