When shadows fall and hearts go wrong,
Jehovah’s mercy still is strong.
He waits with love, so patient, kind,
To heal the hurt in humankind.

He sent His prophets through each age,
To calm His people’s wayward rage.
Their message rang both clear and true,
“Return to God—He cares for you.”

Jehovah’s promise shines so clear,

Though Gomer strayed, love sought her still,
Jehovah moved her heart and will.
He healed her shame, forgave her wrong,
