A Voice in the Wilderness

The desert wind was strong and wide,
By Jordan’s stream the crowds would bide.
John’s voice rang clear through dust and sun,
“Jehovah’s work has now begun.”

He urged them, “Turn from sinful way,
Prepare your hearts for God today.
The Kingdom’s near, the time is right,
Repent and walk within His light.”

Jehovah chose John’s voice to call,
