Soldier’s Psalm

dear God

I heard a psalm

a story of your love

a psalm of your protection

the soldiers psalm

you are my refuge and fortress

in you I will put my trust

dear God

I couldn’t sleep tonight

but I remembered psalm 91

I will not feel the terror of the night

nor arrows by day

I will dwell in your shelter

and rest in your shadow

you are the most high

almighty

Dear God

you comfort me in this season

you tell me a thousand may fall at my side

ten thousand on my right

and yet I will not be touched

you protect me

God of strength thank you

you have told me

because I love you

I acknowledge your name

the one above all else

you will rescue me

you will protect me

this you have promised

your faithfulness

will be my shield

your spirit as my sword

dear god

you will never leave me

you have spoken

you have said that I will call on you

and you will answer

you will deliver me

and with your grace I will be adorned and honored by you

with long life you will bless me

you will make known to me your boundless mercy

and you will show me your salvation

Dear God

your law endures to this day

for all things serve you

Dear God

you are the God of comfort

you are faithful

you have promised to protect me

you are kind and loving

The God of security

and peace

I will rest in your shadow as you fight the battles for me
