My Heart’s Opinion…
I was just this kid that didn’t know any better
I was Just jumping from one thang to another
You called me wet behind my ears
But it felt like I had known you for years
You was out here chasing politicians
And I was chasing the woman who could listen
Then One day in December I got a chance
And I took full advantage of your romance
Who’s to say who was wrong or who was right
I can admit that I was stubborn and selfish
All I wanted was you but I couldn’t help it
This ain’t no courtroom disposition…
Your honor, It’s just my heart’s opinion
Our love didn’t start out so complex
I could feel it through a polar vortex
I didn’t need any seconds
Our kisses felt so organic
Two lovebirds that were just so sweet
A love that we kept completely discreet
Just wanted you waking up next to me
Even had me getting down on one knee
Who’s to say who was wrong or who was right
I can admit that I was stubborn and selfish
All I wanted was you but I couldn’t help it
This ain’t no courtroom disposition…
Your honor, It’s just my heart’s opinion
Look at us, dancing in the living room
Danced our way into the delivery room
Happiness on all of our faces
Honey this is what I’ve been chasing
And to this day I bet you still don’t understand
How I was still the most loneliest man
I was sleeping next to no one
Because you were already gone
Who’s to say who was wrong or who was right
I can admit that I was stubborn and selfish
But All I wanted was you and I couldn’t help it
This ain’t no courtroom disposition…
Your honor, It’s just my heart’s opinion
One day, you may come across this letter
I still don’t expect you to know any better
Just know that every single lonely night
Is what led to me losing this fight
I can finally see so clearly
That I loved you so dearly
But At that rate I could never make you happy
And no one else ever will…
Who’s to say who was wrong or who was right
I can admit that I was stubborn and selfish
But All I wanted was you and I couldn’t help it
This ain’t no courtroom disposition…
Your honor, It’s just my heart’s opinion
