Shadows in the Night

Shadows crawl upon the wall,

Whispered voices in the hall,

Night descends, the dark begins,

Lose yourself, where terror spins.

Moonlight spills through cracked windows,

Empty eyes in shadowed faces,

Footsteps echo, slow and low,

Chilling down the darkened staircases.

Feel the dread, it lurks near,

Face your fears, confront the fear.

Something’s waiting in the night,

A twisted nightmare, out of sight.

Haunting screams beneath the moon,

Dancing shadows, ending soon,

Halloween’s the haunted game,

Echoes of the scream and the name.

Creaking floors and rusted chains,

Ghostly whispers, bloodstains,

Run if you can or stay,

Darkness fears the light of day.

As the dawn begins to break,

Echoes fade, the nightmares wake,

But beware, for in the night,

The monsters crawl, awaiting fright.
