Another Day I Keep

Just another day in my life,

With the sun peeking through the blinds.

I rise up, clear my head,

It's all about the grind.

Long hours start my day,

I sweat and struggle in so many ways.

Wipe my brow, kick up my feet,

Doorbell rings, brings me back to my feet.

Another package just came in,

Tell myself that sleep will wait, I’ll win.

Clean the house, put clothes all away,

But somehow, there's mud on the floors today.

Just another day that I love to keep,

Through the craziness, I find my peace.

With each little moment, life’s sweet embrace,

Kisses and laughter, our happy place.

Sweep and mop, dog’s got other plans,

Water shakes, I laugh while I stand.

Dinner’s calling as the darkness creeps,

Nighttime routine, oh how my heart leaps.

Snuggles and lullabies, they close their eyes,

Whispering dreams under starry skies.

Kisses turn off lights, softening the night,

Finding cozy spots, oh, what a sight!

Just another day that I love to keep,

Through the craziness, I find my peace.

I turn the sheets down, where the calmness comes.
