Feeling the fire in my soul

A battleground of hope and despair

Fighting to breathe, to be aware

Present moment’s burning hot, fierce and bright

Lost in lust, in the fight, in the night

Spit on the past, turn around, ignite

Living now, in this sacred hot light

Hooked on illusions, their carnival of lies

Chasing instant pleasures under false skies

Evil’s circus, I walk away, I rise

Seeking truth beyond their disguise

Understanding life takes its own pace

In this zone, I find my space

No more cares about their deceit
