Truth Matters

Whats going on in the world today

So many parts of society in disarray

We're all wringing hands saying where is this leading

While we fuel division racism and the hate we're breeding

Blindly accepting lies and supporting conspiracy theories

We've lost touch with truth accepting lies with no queries

The death of truth it no longer matters

We stand by silent as the dark cloud gathers

The national pride willing to fight and defend

The nation came first and on eachother we could depend

Now deeply divided blue state or red

An irrelevant concern once democracy is dead

It is sad to see how quick we accept what we hear

And immediately succumb to fabricated fear

Snubbing our allies damaging our status

Accepting a narcissist leader who is clearly a faciast

Its hard to understand why anyone shares in his views

So many closed minds who support the fake news

Real Americans its time to stand and be ready

Upholding our values with courage and hearts steady

Will we allow this to be

Surrendering our right to be free

One chance to save our way of living

Let's move as one with love of country we must be giving

Let's put this behind us and be forgiving
