Prompt / Lyrics
(Verse 1) There once was a boy who lived up a tree. He had many skills, many powers and a unique wizardry. The boy was an outcast, named the odd tree boy, No, others couldn’t see. That in this boy was something special, His powers of the tree. (Chorus) Tree boy, tree boy, Show them all your power. Hit them with your magic wand, And turn them into cowards. Yes, tree boy, tree boy, It’s time to make them see, You can spin around and say ‘abracadabra!’ And suddenly… The whole town turned into trees. (Verse 2) The peasants and the kings alike all stretch their branches out, They scorn at tree boy who passes by, Without a fear in sight. In his hands he holds his tape measure and planks of wood alike. He steps over their fallen branches and the small creeping woodlouse. He plans his blueprints and his supplies to make his next treehouse. (Chorus) Tree boy, tree boy, Show them all your power. Hit them with your magic wand, And turn them into cowards. Yes tree boy, tree boy, It’s time to make them see. You can spin around and say ‘abracadabra!’ And suddenly… The whole town turned into trees. (Verse 3) He screws in place the last plank of wood, His new home finally complete. He turns to look at the other villagers that he’s made obsolete. He gives a smile, licks his lips as he tastes their blood. One by one he chops them down to make for firewood! (Chorus) Tree boy, tree boy, Show them all your power. Hit them with your magic wand, And turn them into cowards. Yes, tree boy, tree boy! It’s time to make them see! Spin around and say ‘abracadabra!’ And suddenly… The whole towns six feet deep!
