Prompt / Lyrics
(Verse 1 – slow, ominous) Long ago, in blood-soaked days, Two centuries and half erased, The world was torn by war and flame, And shadow carved its cursed name. Six there were, from distant lands, With gods’ own might in mortal hands— Earth and fire, water’s tide, Air that howled and lightning’s strike. Time itself did bend and turn, To join the light, to see it burn. (Chorus – haunting, resolute) Guardians, oh, sleep no more, The land you loved is chained in war. Deep beneath the stone you lie, But still the people wonder why— Why the stars no longer gleam, Why the rivers do not sing. Awake, oh Guardians of old, The tale is dark, but not yet told. (Verse 2 – rising tension) King Blagden rode from valley deep, With eyes like ash, no soul to keep. His blade was black, his heart was worse, He wrapped the world in shadow’s curse. Four fell down with battle cries, Their names now lost beneath the skies. Two were sealed with sacred rite, Entombed within the roots of night. Time stood still, and legend grew— But some still wait. And some still knew. (Bridge – sparse, ghostly) The bells don’t ring, the gods don’t speak, But silence cracks, and silence leaks. The ground it stirs, the wind it sighs, The hour comes when heroes rise. (Final Chorus – triumphant, with harmonies) Guardians, the time is near, The world still weeps, the end draws near. From slumber deep, return once more, And drive the dark from every shore. Let the skies be split with light, Let evil tremble at your might. Awake, oh Guardians of flame and stone— Your people call. Don’t leave them alone.
