"If any seek My path to tread," The Savior spoke, the words He said, "Deny yourself, embrace the strife, Take up your cross, and follow life." Each day anew, the call rings clear, To leave behind all that we hold dear, To walk in faith, though trials may come, And find our strength in God alone. No easy road, but one of grace, A journey to a higher place, With every step, we grow more strong, As we to Christ, truly belong. So let us rise, and heed the call, Surrender all, and give our all, For in His path, we find our way, To endless life, and brighter day. We give it all, we lay it down, For Jesus' name, our highest crown. Though sacrifice may mark the way, A brighter glory lights the day. With every step, we draw more near, Casting aside all doubt and fear. In His embrace, we find our worth, A heavenly prize, beyond this earth. In Christ's embrace, a path unfolds, Where sacrifice, a story told. We leave behind the world's allure, For callings high, and purpose pure. Some friendships fade, some bonds must break, When hearts astray, our spirits shake. Yet in these tears, a joy resides, As God's own hand, our footsteps guides. Each offering made, He sees it all, The treasures lost, the bitter gall. No deed unseen, no pain unknown, A harvest sown, a love then shown. When pain may come, and shadows loom, I pray for comfort in this room, Your loving arms, a gentle grace, To wipe the tears from my face. Luke 9 23 Dear God, I acknowledge that there are things in my life that I may have to let go of as a result of my choosing to follow your way. Lord, I ask that you give me the strength I need to be able to let go, and may you comfort me in any time I feel pain. I thank you, Lord, that there is a greater glory ahead, that makes these sacrifices worthwhile. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. With every step
