Ocean waves

Ocean waves surrounding me

I’m trying trying to be free

no matter how hard I try I go deeper and deeper under

no escape in sight

I was pulled by the current out to the great open depths

now I’m stuck in these waters and all I can do is hold my breath

I close my eyes and just imagine

what life would be like if I had someone to pull me out someone to save me now

These ocean waves are surrounding me

As they break and pull me low

It’s an endless ocean I can't let go

Every ripple speaks of my pain untold

I'm sinking deeper where it's cold

Salt on my lips from the flood I compose

A tempest within nobody knows

Each crest crashes louder than my plea

Drowning in my mind's relentless sea
