Faces on the Walls

Terror shows itself in the night, faces on the wall

Carved in the silence, the faces they call.

Late at night when the candles flicker,

I catch a glimpse of a figure, growing thicker.

Painted eyes stare into my soul,

Each telling a story, each seeking control.

They float like ghosts, behind cracked plaster,
