Why I Cannot Remember

Shadows crawl inside my head,

Voice scream of things I said,

But the mirror shows a stranger’s eyes,

A broken truth wrapped in a thousand lies.

The fire fades, but the scars remain,

Fragments of a soul lost in the flames.

Why I cannot remember,

The blood on my hands, the night of surrender—

A hollow echo, a mind torn apart,

Memory’s grave carved deep in my heart.

Pages burn, but the words are gone,

Time erased where I don’t belong.

Every question digs the wound anew,

Is this nightmare me, or it is you?

The silence screams, tearing through my veins,

A haunted past I can’t contain.
