Remember? How it felt when he said it was love and you felt it in your heart?
Not seeing the red flags and hoping it wouldn’t fall all apart? 
 
Remember? The first time he didn’t call or answer the phone? 
How he just left you there all alone? 

Remember? The first fight? 
How he left and never came back that night? 
How he went days without saying a word, 
Making sure he could do everything to cause you the most hurt?

He blamed everything on you and said you can’t do one thing right, 
He knows why he is always sad,

Remember? When he lost his temper and tossed you to the floor? 
How after he did it, he said he wouldn’t anymore? 

Remember? When he pushed you in the driveway? Just enough to hurt a little bit?

When it’s 2pm and he’s passed out drunk,
and you find all the bottles he won’t give up,

As you stand there realizing this was the end,
