Divided Mind

Two voices crawl beneath my skin,

Neither lose and neither win.

I wear a mask with broken glass,

Reflecting truths that never pass.

Each breath I take, I hear them fight —

One seeks peace, the other night.

Pulled apart by threads unseen,

I’m not sure where I've ever been.

There's no silence in this brain...

Only weathered walls and rain...

This is a divided mind — torn at the seam,

Trapped in the faultline between thought and scream.

One part breaking, one part blind,

Lost in the echo of a self confined.

This is the fracture I can’t outrun,

A war within — and no one won.

I can’t remember who I am…

Just fragments in a shaking hand.

I chase the ghosts I used to be,

But every shadow turns on me.

Familiar faces split and blur,

Their names erased — I’m not so sure.

I draw the line, then tear it down,

Wear a smile that hides the drown.

Each side of me wants to be real,

But neither side can truly feel.

The mirror cracked… and in its place,

A thousand versions of my face.

Each one screaming something new...

And I don’t know which one is true.

This is a divided mind — the great divide,

The scream behind my glassy eyes.

Where logic ends and chaos bleeds,

I feed the parts that no one sees.

This is the war that never fades,

A whisper sharp as razor blades.

And if I vanish, don’t rewind…

I was only ever a divided mind.
