Whispers in the dark, a quiet prayer, a whispered plea

Echoes of your mercy, calling out to me

I never asked to be a hero, just to hold your hand

Lost in my own shadows, trying to understand

You asked me just to be yours, simple and true

Now I stand here faltering, caught between me and you

But I’m not OK, I’m breaking, falling apart

Yet I see your strength, shining through my scarred heart

You become my courage, your peace lifts my fears

Your mercy sings over me, calms all my tears

Though my voice trembles, I find my voice in your song

Thank you Jesus, for staying strong all along

Remind me, stay with me, don’t give up now

Your mercy, your life, I seek somehow

In my weakness, your power is renewed

In your love, I am found, broken and true

So I’ll lift my hands, surrender with a prayer

You are my strength, always there, always there
