Jehovah gives the victory

In the valley of Jezreel came the armies like the tide,
Israel feared their power, had no place to hide.
But one man heard Jehovah, though his heart was small,
He rose up in faith and answered the call.

He was threshing in the shadows, hiding in the night,
When Jehovah’s angel told him, “You will lead this fight.”
The weakest of the weakest, still Jehovah’s choice,
Strength came rushing through him when he heard that voice.

Jehovah gives the victory, His power is our song,  
When we stand beside Him, His strength makes us strong.  
No fear can ever bind us, His promise will remain,  
We fight for Jehovah — He forever will reign!

The Lord said, “You’ve too many—let the fearful go.”
Just a few men were left there, faith began to show.
Three hundred hearts were ready, loyal, brave, and true,
Jehovah would bring glory through the faithful few.

They blew the horns at midnight, broke their jars of clay,
Light burst out in triumph, fear swept foes away.
No sword struck the enemy; it was by God’s hand,
Jehovah won the battle across the promised land.

No pride filled that hero, no crown upon his name,
He gave Jehovah glory, not seeking his own fame.
Peace returned to Israel, quiet filled the land,
For courage and obedience stayed within God’s hand.

Now the story tells us when our faith feels small,

The battle is not ours, His purpose will endure,
Through trust and loyal courage, our hearts remain secure.
