Prompt / Lyrics
Bethlehem's cradle a humble start, House of Bread where a new life did embark. Not in a palace but a manger low, The Bread of Life for all to know. He came not in splendor but gentle and mild, A gift of sustenance for every child. Born in simplicity a message so clear, That love is the answer dispelling all fear. The Bread of Heaven broken for all, He answers the hungry Heeding the call. In that small town a promise unfurled, The Savior of the world. So let us remember this truth so deep, In Bethlehem's Bread our souls to keep, For in His life a lesson is taught, The Bread of Life divinely wrought. The birth of Jesus Shepherds in fields the first to be told, Not mighty kings in robes of gold. An angel's chorus a heavenly sign, To humble soul the message divine. For Jesus came for love not for might, To guide us from darkness into His light. The shepherds listened with hearts open wide, To the Savior's story they couldn't hide. No royal decree no trumpet's sound, Just simple folk on hallowed ground. He chose the meek the lowly, the poor, To spread His gospel, forevermore. So let us remember, His gentle way, For love is the power that lights up the day, And in that love, we find our worth, Shepherds of His peace, here on Earth. The birth of Jesus Gifts from the East, three treasures they bring, Gold for a King, incense to sing. Myrrh for the sacrifice, He was destined to bear, A prophecy whispered, on the desert air. Gold for His kingship, a reign without end, Incense for divinity, heaven-sent. Myrrh for the sorrow, the pain, and the cross, A life laid down, counting the cost. These gifts symbolic, of a destiny told, A King, Divine, a story unfolds. He came to redeem us, from sin and from shame, Bearing our burdens, in His holy name. So let us remember, the gifts that were given, A sign of His love, from Earth to Heaven, And in our hearts, let gratitude bloom, For the King, Divine, who conquered the tomb. Oh, the mystery of His birth, A humble start, yet filled with worth. Bethlehem's bread, shepherds near, Gifts of love, casting out fear. Jesus, our Savior, gentle and mild, Born for us, a holy child. In every heart, let praises ring, For the secret mysteries that He brings.
