I see humanity as trees

Within them the ability to mend, increase and flourish

Oh how I weep for mankind caught up in the grind

Reduced in character.....unkind

Losing our way daily

Struggling to maintain human

Decency for others

Murdering our brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers

Too much clutter in the posterior

Oh humanity, how far you have fallen

Still dining on the forbidden fruit .....

Awakened but with a conscious of good and evil

Evil being the main character

Never meant for us

Created in his image and likeness

A sanctuary, a safe place to bloom was our purpose.

The garden grew thick with forbidden weight

Where we reached for fruit not ours to take

We pulled the roots to see the spark

And traded the Sun for flickering dark

We pruned the shadow as the empire falls

We paved the lilies and poisoned the well, then wondered why the petals fell

While the ancient forest quietly drowns,

We were guest in a house of green and gold

Who broke the locks on what shouldn't be sold.
