In nineteen hundred and sixty eight
A sister came along who I appreciate
A great addition to our family
This little blond baby named Valerie
Friends were numerous many called her pal
And those closest just know her as Val
We had great times and some tension
But moments of conflict are too few to mention
A great sister and all can see
There's no one to rival Valerie
So many great times and moments to recall
I'll bring up a few no time for them all
There was the time we saw that ghost in the basement
We broke land speed records escaping up the stairs we went
I got to be your partner when it came to Irish dance
Those huge contests not some fanciful silly prance
In front of big crowds in gyms and in a hall
Valerie was the best she defeated them all
A great sister and all can see
There's no one to rival Valerie
With such a loving heart so warm and caring
She raised two great kids theres Daniel and there's Maren
There's her man Rocky not the guy known for boxing
They are huge Warriors fans with every win they are rocking
Back to Irish dance no one could compete
She dominated all sent them all to defeat
The very best little sister I could possibly be given
Shes a special person and makes life well worth living
A great sister and all can see
There's no one to rival Valerie
One last thing to throw out there before I do escape
Im grateful for Koiak, Orcas Island and the Cape
Great adventures each one felt like the best day
So I send you lots of love and wish you happy birthday
A great sister and all can see
There's no one to rival Valerie
