The world spins fast I stay in place

Voices loud they crowd my space

Truth or lies they blend like rain

Can't let my heart play tricks again

I hear whispers dressed in gold

But wisdom's quiet and ancient old

Proverbs sharp like a double blade

Guide my steps through the masquerade

Test the light see what it hides

Not every glow is bonafide

Shiny bait but the hook is rust

I weigh the path with holy trust

Not every hand that feeds is clean

Some sow chaos behind the scene

I see the fruit not just the tree

A mask can't fake eternity

By their works the truth will tell

Light reveals where shadows dwell

Eyes wide open truth is clear

Not every voice is worth my ear

Discern the wolves beneath the wool

The Bible keeps my spirit full

Which way is truth which way spins me around

I hear the whispers louder than the crowd

Light in the fog I'm reaching for the sound

The Word cuts deep like a double edged sword

It shows me the lies it points me to the Lord

I'm walking narrow no need for accord

The world's applause I hit ignore

I pray for sight when my vision’s blurred

A lamp to my feet in His holy Word

Wolves in the flock they dress in white fleece

Promising riches but never bring peace

Their words like honey but they're faced with grease

Slip you off the rock let the anchor release

Discernment yeah I'm learning

Flames around but I'm not burning

Every step I take confirming

Truth's the torch that keeps me turning

The voice of God when the world's speaking

My soul stays still no leaking

I hear Him clear when the Word’s repeating

Truth or lie what side you on

Wisdom whispers fools scream loud

Silent steps cut through the crowd

Hearts deceitful they play their game

Chasing gold that's made of shame

What you sow is what you reap

Wide is the road but narrow’s deep

Proverbs dripping from my tongue

Ancient words for the old and the young

Fools rush in they lose the fight

While the wise stay sharp ignite the night

Fruit on the tree it tells the tale

Good or bad it will prevail

Test the spirit weigh the cost

Find the path or stay lost

Guard your heart it's the wellspring

Keep it pure hear the King

Eyes wide open see the light

Truth divides the dark from bright
