Prompt / Lyrics
Well When I was just seven, my mom was so cool. She let me stay up past the bedtime rule. We talked and laughed. About fun times that had passed. daddy heard us from the bedroom and decided to join in. And there was no denying his silly ole grin. we all crammed into that lazyboy chair. And that memory just sticks right there. Those late nights are burned in my mind. They can't be erased by the hands of time. Those late nights when you get to play pretend. Oh how I wish that feeling would never end Oh those late nights, those late nights. Those late nights well, the college years flew by like the wind. And I met a girl with that ole silly grin. She was just like my momma and that was a plus. And every day in her arms was a must. Those late nights would turn into morning fast. And I’ll just leave that right there in the past. Those late nights are burned in my mind. They can't be erased by the hands of time. Those late nights when you get to play pretend. Oh how I wish that feeling would never end Oh those late nights, those late nights. Those late nights Now I’m older and those late nights come early now. I’m catching up with the bedtime crowd. Those late nights hold the memories and that will always last. Oh those late nights, those late nights. Those late nights
