Nehemiah 2

Bricks and mortar, sweat beneath the sun,
Around Jerusalem, the work's begun.
From broken gates to towers standing tall,
We raise a wall, answering the call.
But foes surround, with threats and dark designs,
To sow discord, and twist the sacred lines.
So Nehemiah kneels, a prayer upon his breath,
"Remember, Lord, our fathers' faith through death."
For hands that build, must also wield the sword,
Defending truth, relying on the Lord.
We cleanse the temple, cast out all that's vile,
And seek His face, with humble, hearts reconcile.
The wall ascends, a testament so clear,
To God's great grace, that conquers every fear.
Remember, Lord, Your covenant so true,
And build us up, in all we say and do.

Midnight whispers, shadows creep and crawl,
Watchmen on the wall, answering freedom's call.
Eyes peeled open, hearts both brave and bold,
Against the darkness, stories to be told.
Beyond the rubble, where hope seems lost and gone,
A new foundation, a brand-new dawn.
From broken stones, a future starts to bloom,
Pushing back the darkness, banishing the gloom.
Though enemies may gather, plotting in the night,
We stand united, bathed in holy light.
For every crack, a promise to restore,
A city rising, stronger than before.
With every stone, a testament so true,
To rise from ashes, see a world anew.
So let the trumpets sound, let freedom's banner fly,
Beyond the rubble, we touch the sky.

The scroll unfurls, a whisper turns to roar,
The Law is light, revealing what's in store.
Words of wisdom, ancient and profound,
Guiding footsteps on consecrated ground.
Against the odds, we stand, a faithful few,
Facing giants, with courage shining through.
Corruption festers, enemies abound,
But truth prevails, on holy, righteous ground.
Nehemiah's spirit, a flame that burns so bright,
Igniting hearts, to stand for what is right.
We cast off chains, that bind and hold us down,
And build a nation, on faith's solid crown.
For in His word, our strength and purpose lie,
A beacon shining, in the darkest sky.
So let us rise, with voices clear and strong,
Against the odds, where we truly belong.
