As I stare into the eyes of the devil.
I realize I’m looking at the wrong angle.

Claw marks in my chest leaving it hollow.
She’s doing her best to make sure the pain follows.
Nevertheless I got Advil for tomorrow.
Depressed, so many pills it makes it hard to swallow.

I’ll say I’m sorry cuz I’m still in recovery and I truly believe I can rip these demons out of me that have been controlling me with my fury and then bury them so we can have peace.

I’ve realized what I’ve done.
This is why I don’t want to run from my problems that have just begun.
I must solve them so I don’t end up in a coffin.

I guess she’s right and my roads are long.
