I walk these streets like a preachers hymn

Hopes are heavy but the light ain't dim

Every crack in the pavement tells a tell

Of dreams that rise and hearts that fail

I see the skies they're bruised and gray

But I'm still here I kneel and I pray

For the lost ones the broke and bruised

For the battles fought the wars we lose

Echoes bounce off the city walls

Every shadow whispers every name it calls

I've seen kings fall down from their golden seats

Seen angels cry where the devil meets

I've held hands with doubt danced with fear

But faith is loud when the heart is clear

I pray for rain to wash away the pain

For the seeds of hope to grow again

Hands up high reaching for the sky

I'm broken but I try yeah I try

For the night to break for a brighter day

Gracious Father,

Tonight I come with a heart full of hope for all who seek you. Your word says May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace in believing. I trust in your power to bring peace where there is unrest. Help me to be a channel of that hope, sharing your love and light with those in need. May my faith overflow and encourage others to find rest in you. Teach me to pray and reach out for those longing to know your grace. In Jesus name, Amen.

Hands to the sky like they're climbing a rope

Feet on the ground but they're walking on hope

They're searching for light where the shadow begins

Some pray for wealth some pray for fame

But the seekers they whisper your name

Through the noise through the rain
