Dead inside, the flame won’t light
A heart too cold, lost the fight
Dead inside, but I hope to grow
Compassion sparks where ice should go
Dark cloud dining, I chew on the rain
Every breath heavy, lungs filled with pain
Mirror cracked, reflection’s a ghost
A haunted shell where I reside the most
Just an empty shell hollow to be taken as a host
Trapped in agony I turn to a ghost
Dead inside, the flame won’t light
A heart too cold, lost the fight
Dead inside, but I hope to grow
Compassion sparks where ice should go
Tears ink the page, diary of despair
Staring at walls, peeling layers of care
Soul’s a record, scratched and skipped
Needle stuck where the light once dripped
But what if I could learn to see?
Find the colors buried deep in me
Turn the sorrow into bloom
Paint the world, escape this tomb
Dead inside, the flame won’t light
A heart too cold, lost the fight
Dead inside, but I hope to grow
Compassion sparks where ice should go
Dead inside, the flame won’t light
A heart too cold, lost the fight
Dead inside, but I hope to grow
Compassion sparks where ice should go
