Reflections in Solitude

In the quiet of my mind,

Where shadows dance and light is blind.

Thoughts laid out like pages flipped,

Searching for the words, I slipped.

Alone, I did my best thinking,

Laid out all the thoughts like a book, skimming,

Scanned the letters, found the truth,

What weighs more, every tear, every proof.

A white empty sheet before me spread,

Words unspoken, hearts misled.

Hands clasped tight, no pen in sight,

With a heavy heart, I hide from the light.
