A song can have multiple vocalists, each with their own style and genre.
Last updated: September 27, 2024
Zona allows you to add multiple vocalists to your tracks by using custom Meta Tags in the lyrics section. This feature lets you assign different parts of the song to specific voices, creating dynamic and engaging vocal arrangements. You can define which vocalist sings each section of the song by using tags like [Voice 1], [Voice 2], and so on, and specifying their names or characteristics.
How to Use Multiple Vocals
To add multiple vocals to your song, follow these steps:
1. Choose Custom Mode
Start by selecting Custom Mode from the Generate screen. This mode gives you full control over the song creation process, allowing you to define the lyrics and assign vocalists to different parts of the song.
2. Create Your Vocalists
Assign different vocalists by using [Voice] meta tags. You can label each voice with a name or description, and specify when each vocalist sings. For example:
[Voice 1: Panz] for one vocalist
[Voice 2: Keisha] for another vocalist
3. Assign Vocalists to Sections
In each section of the song (like verses, choruses, bridges), specify which vocalist should sing that part by adding their tag before the lyrics. Here’s an example:
Example Lyrics
[Voice 1: Panz]
[Voice 2: Keisha]
[Verse 1][Panz]

You can switch between different vocalists within the same song. For instance, have Panz sing the first verse and the chorus, while Keisha sings the second verse and bridge.
You can create a back-and-forth dialogue between vocalists by alternating between their meta tags. This allows for dynamic interaction in your lyrics.
4. Generate Your Song
After assigning vocalists to different sections of the song, click on the "Generate" button to create your track. Zona will use the meta tags to determine which vocalist sings each part, resulting in a multi-vocalist song.
Tips for Using Multiple Vocals
Create Contrast: Use different vocalists to add variety and contrast to your song. Each vocalist can bring a unique style and tone to the track.
Tell a Story: Assign different vocalists to different characters in your song to create a narrative or dialogue.
Experiment: Try different combinations of vocalists and sections to see how they interact and complement each other.
